Ingredients for making sweet and sour dal-
-1/2 cup arhar dal
-1/2 cup moong dal (without peel)
-1 onion
-2 tbsp tamarind pulp
-1 tsp sugar
-1/2 tsp red chilli powder
-1/2 tsp turmeric
-1 tsp mustard
-1 pinch asafoetida
-2 green chillies
-7-8 curry leaves
-2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
-1/2 tsp garam masala
-2 tbsp oil
-Salt as per taste

Recipe for making sweet and sour dal-
To make this, first of all wash and clean pigeon pea (tur) dal and washed moong dal properly.
Then add pigeon pea, moong dal, water, turmeric, salt as per taste, sugar and tamarind pulp in a cooker.
After this, cook it on high flame for about 3-4 whistles.
Then you turn off the gas and leave the pressure to release on its own.
After this, pour oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
Then add mustard seeds to this hot oil and crackle it.
After this, add finely chopped green chillies and asafoetida in it.
Then add onion to it and fry it until it turns golden.
After this you add red chilli powder and garam masala in it.
Then add boiled lentils along with water and mix.
After this, cover it and cook it on low flame for about 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Now your delicious sweet and sour dal is ready.
Then garnish it with finely chopped coriander and serve it with hot roti, paratha or rice.
